Similar in texture to the Brazilian spirit, Cachaça, Ron Zacapa’s base is also extracted from sugarcane juice. The spirit is a blend of Rums aged between 6 and 23 years in Cognac barrels. Distilled in the House Above The Clouds; the Rum develops its flavour 7,500 feet above sea level in the Guatemalan highlands of Quetzaltenango, where the air is thin and the temperature low. The nurtured tastes blend to create an immensely complex Rum with a fruity tang. Look out too for the taste of chocolate, vanilla, coffee and cinnamon and the aroma of orange peel, toasted oak and honey.
Drink this Zacapa like it is Cognac, serve it neat and at room temperature. Comes in the manufacturer's presentation box.
